ScriptureShelf
Terms of Use
Last updated October 21, 2026
Welcome to ScriptureShelf, a free Bible reading tracker made by Jesse Huss (“we”, “us”). By using ScriptureShelf at scriptureshelf.com or app.scriptureshelf.com, you agree to these terms. We’ve tried to keep them short and readable.
Using ScriptureShelf
- ScriptureShelf is free. You sign in with a Google account, and you’re responsible for keeping that account secure.
- Use it for its purpose: tracking your own Bible reading. Please don’t misuse it — for example by trying to break, overload or get around its security, or by accessing other people’s data.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use ScriptureShelf.
Your data
Your reading progress belongs to you. We store it only to provide the app, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export it or delete your account at any time from Settings in the app.
The service
ScriptureShelf is an independent personal project, provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep it running and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. Statistics such as an estimated finish date are estimates only. We recommend exporting your data from time to time if it matters to you.
We may change, pause or discontinue features, or the service as a whole. If we ever plan to shut ScriptureShelf down, we’ll aim to give reasonable notice so you can export your data.
We may suspend or remove accounts that misuse the service. You can stop using ScriptureShelf and delete your account whenever you like.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of ScriptureShelf. Because the service is free, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to zero dollars, except where the law doesn’t allow such a limit.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We’ll post the new version here and update the date above. Continuing to use ScriptureShelf after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
